Lisa Haney, MS, RD, LD has been named as director of food and nutrition services at Allen County Hospital, part of HCA Midwest Health System—Kansas City’s largest healthcare network. Haney will be responsible for oversight and management of the hospital’s food service production areas including kitchen and cafeteria. She will also perform inpatient and outpatient dietitian consults, acting as a reference to improve the nutritional health of both hospital patients and individuals in the surrounding communities.
Haney received her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences-Dietetics from the University of Arizona. She then attended the University of Kansas Medical Center where she completed her dietetic internship to become a registered dietitian, as well as obtained her master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition. Along with 4 years of nutrition and healthcare experience, Haney brings an undeniable passion for helping patients at Allen County Hospital and the surrounding areas get the treatment they need to live a healthier lifestyle. This passion and focus to best serve the community’s needs through nutrition services will continue to bring her vision to life with the opening of the new Allen County Hospital.
