Allen County Hospital, part of HCA Midwest Health System—Kansas City’s largest healthcare network—has named David-Paul Cavazos, BLA, RT, as director of imaging services. Cavazos will be responsible for oversight and management of the hospital’s medical imaging areas including CT scan, X-ray, nuclear medicine, MRI, ultrasound, bone density, and digital mammography. Cavazos will also manage the relocation and expansion of the hospital’s medical imaging department as it moves to the new hospital site, including the acquisition of a new CT machine that will be available when the new hospital opens its doors.
Beginning in 1998 and fueled by a need to make a difference in the lives of those around him, Cavazos chose radiology as his career path. He received his associates degree in Radiologic Science from Penn Valley Community College and his bachelors degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City. He brings 13 years of radiology and healthcare experience to Allen County Hospital and is committed to a vision for providing the best patient care possible in the imaging department.
With the building of the new hospital and the acquisition of new imaging equipment, Allen County Hospital will provide a more advanced level of patient care to the people of Iola, Kansas, and its surrounding communities. The hospital’s goal is to become the premier critical access hospital in southeast Kansas by constantly providing the highest quality, most compassionate and comprehensive patient care.
